Actual Results:

A customer of ours guessed 64 and actual number of bulbs was 145!!!!

Energy usage before switching to florescent bulbs:

60watt (average) x 145 bulbs = 8700 watts
8700 watts / 120 volts = 72.5 amps

72.5 amps is equivalent to a whole house heat pump
72.5 amps is equivalent to 1.5 electric ovens
72.5 amps is equivalent to 5 hair dryers

60 watt incandescent bulb is = to a 15 watt florescent bulb

Energy usage after the switch to florescent bulbs:

15watt florescent bulb x 145 bulbs = 2175 watts
2175 watts / 120volts = 18.125 amps

18.125 amps is equivalent to 1 hair dryer!!!

So you do the math is it worth saving $$$ on your electric bill??
